Tyson recalled a total of over 132,000 pounds of their delicious chicken nuggets which were primarily sold throughout various Costco stores. The reason being is that the possibility of hard plastics were mixed in with the little white breaded morsels.
Lucky for us all, the nuggets that were recalled were only the five pound "Panko" bags you can find at the freezer section in Costco Stores. To help you precisely identify them, these particular bags have an expiration date of 7/18/17 as well as case codes of: 2006SDL33 or 2006SDL03. Although the 20-pound bags do not affect the great state of Utah; Pennsylvania has a recall for the larger restaurant chains that might have purchased their: Nugget Shaped Chicken Breast Pattie Fritters With Rib Meat, Spare Time Fully Cooked or the infamous Panko Chicken Nuggets as well! It was reported from the USDA that customer complaints were shared that plastic bits as large as 6.5 MM in diameter upwards of 21 MM in length were found in their chicken. Tyson is unsure of what mechanical part is the culprit at this time. Although it is speculated that it has something to do with the transfer belt. If you have this product in possession you are to throw it away immediately and to work with Tyson directly if you have any additional questions. They can be reached at 1 (866) 328-3156.
