Low Levels Of Vitamin D Linked To The Common Cold!

Contrary to popular belief, vitamin D is actually a better safeguard against the common cold than vitamin C is. Not to say that vitamin C has no effect in fighting against the cold, it's just that vitamin D deficiency shows a very high correlation with those that frequently suffer from the cold (Archives of Internal Medicine, 1994).

The study questioned approximately 19,000 individuals and revealed that 36% of the participants were more likely to have an upper respiratory tract infection (common cold) than those with higher levels of vitamin D in their body.
