Tis The Season To Be Jolley!

LDS Church Leaders have recently stated publicly that it would mean a lot to them if we could all find the true meaning of Christmas this Holliday Season! In Short this means to put Christ back into X-mas! If you are not a Christian this could be extremely offensive. Especially if you are a pagan as the winter solstice being celebrated was commandeered by the birth of Jesus Christ. So if you are one of the minority in Utah, please do not take any further offense and simply read a different blog.

For those of you who believe in a higher power, please take an earnest effort this Christmas season to enjoy the true meaning of Christmas. Here are a few forgotten examples as what Christmas is really all about:

1.) Candy Canes: Representative of the Shepherd's Crook used to herd sheep. The same sheep herders that were visited by an angel and saw the Northern Star to announce the birth of Christ.

2.) Gift Giving: The Three wise men that also saw the Northern Star and went to Jerusalem to witness the recent birth of Jesus Christ and to offer them their greatest gifts they had possession of. 

3.) Northern Star: The Christmas Tree with a star at the top! This is symbolic of the light from the Northern Star descending down upon us just as the shape of the tree gradual gets broader  and mimics how light works, from the top coming down. 

4.) Christmas: This one is extremely self explanatory in that "Christ" is in the actual spelling of the Holladay "Christmas"! 

May we not become too busy or forgetful to put this important aspect of Christmas this Holladay Season.
